The Erdene Zuu Monastery is probably the earliest surviving Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. Built in 1585, it is located in Kharkhorin, Uvurkhangai Province and is now included within the Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape World Heritage Site. The monastery is affiliated with the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
Elsen tasarkhai is a part of the Mongol Els sand dunes, which stretchs along the Tuv, Uvurkhangai and Bulgan provinces. The sand dunes are totally 80 km long. Dividing the southern part of the sand dunes with the so-called northern Mongolian sand, Khugnu Tarna is a main road.
The Naadam Festival celebrates Mongolia’s heritage through wrestling, horse racing, and archery, showcasing national pride, ancient traditions, and vibrant cultural performances.
